The Saskatchewan Government Employees Union and the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science Technology will meet with a mediator Monday to try to reach a settlement.
The union had been preparing for a strike as early as Tuesday, but both sides have announced on there websites that there will be talks today.
Mediated contract talks broke down in January with the union stating that it had made concessions and that the provincial government was directing the college's position from behind the scenes.
The instructors previously rejected the college's final offer of a 5-point-5 per cent wage increase over three years
